Ichiban Sushi will host its 21st annual Burn-Off contest. This popular fundraising event partners with the Salt Lake City Fire Department to support the Fill the Boot drive for muscular dystrophy. The event will be just 1 in a series of community-sponsored events put together by Watkins Restaurant Group, owners of Mikado and Ichiban.
The contest will feature twenty-two contestants competing to finish the spiciest of sushi.  The winner will recieve a $250 gift card to Ichiban as well as the bragging rights that come with such gastric gumption.

Just one of the many rolls on Ichiban's menu that's sure to be doused in fire for the competition

“This tradition has been such a great part of Ichiban over the years.” said Jason Flower, Director
of Operations. “It’s always fun to see who will return to defend or reclaim their Burn-Off title.”

For those not exactly up to snuff on this particular brand of insanity, the restaurant will be open for regular business. Contestants can register in person after 5:00pm at the restaurant located at 336 South 400 East in Salt Lake City. Register by Sunday May 24th and receive a $5 discount off the entry fee. For additional information about the contest, reservation information or how you can help “Fill the Boot” call Ichiban Sushi at 801.532.7522.
